1. It's a liar
Your weight fluctuates during the day (even if you refuse to eat all day) so the number at 10am is almost certainly not going to be the same as at 10pm.

2. It does not tell you anything about your well-being
Your weight is not necessarily an indication of health because there are many other factors involved.
3. It feeds into your eating disorder
When has the number on the scale ever made you forget about your ED?

4. It makes love for you body conditional
Your body is only "good enough" if it is below a certain weight.

5. It's triggering
Eating disorders are never satisfied with any number.

6. It gives a false sense of control
Weight is determined in a large part by genetics and no amount of starvation can change that in a long-term, sustainable way.

7. Garfield
He doesn't like his scale either.

8. The scale does not have your body's best interests in mind
It's just an arbitrary number and can't tell if your body is at it's true equilibrium (read: at it's optimal health).

Here are some creative ways to get rid of your scale:

-Throw it off of the roof of your house (but take care not to fall off...and watch for pedestrians)
-Take a sledge hammer and hammer that thing to pieces (place scale on grass first so as not to crack the sidewalk/floor)
-If available, use a chainsaw to saw it in half (by the way, why do you have a chainsaw? Questionable.)
-Drive over it with your car (take some friends along for the ride!)
-Throw it into your pool (you might want to figure out how your going to get it back out later)
-Pour a can of paint over it (HomeDepot has some cheap paints)
-Let your two rottweilers play with it (take out batteries first)
